Academic Life
At Bridgewater Christian Academy, our heart is to walk alongside each child during these foundational years—guiding them as they grow academically, spiritually, and personally. We are committed to building a strong foundation that equips each student to move forward with confidence, purpose, and a deep understanding of who they are in Christ.
KINDERGARTENOur Kindergarten program offers a joyful and nurturing beginning to your child’s educational journey within a Christ-centered environment. We believe these early years matter deeply, and we intentionally create a space where children feel known, loved, and excited to learn each day.
Through hands-on learning, strong early literacy and math instruction, and engaging, age-appropriate activities, students begin building the foundational skills they will carry with them throughout our K–2 program. We focus on developing confident readers, thoughtful problem-solvers, and curious learners while maintaining a gentle, supportive approach that meets each child where they are.
Our teaching is rooted in a Biblical worldview, meaning that faith is thoughtfully woven into each part of the day. Students are encouraged to see God’s truth reflected in what they learn, while also growing in character, kindness, and a love for others.
As children move through our K–2 program, we continue to build on these foundations with increasing academic rigor, always balanced with care, encouragement, and individualized support. Our small classroom setting allows us to truly know each child, helping them grow not only academically, but also in confidence, creativity, and faith.
1ST GARDE
Our 1st Grade program builds thoughtfully on the strong foundation established in Kindergarten, helping students grow into confident, capable learners within a Christ-centered environment. At this stage, children begin to deepen their skills while also developing greater independence and a love for meaningful learning.
Through intentional instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics, students continue to strengthen the foundational skills introduced in the early years. We place a strong emphasis on developing fluent readers, thoughtful writers, and confident problem-solvers, while gently increasing academic rigor in a way that is both supportive and encouraging.
Our teaching is rooted in a Biblical worldview, where faith is naturally integrated into daily learning. Students are guided to see God’s truth in all subjects, while also growing in character, responsibility, and kindness toward others.
As part of our K–2 program, 1st grade plays an important role in building academic readiness and confidence. In our small, nurturing classroom, each child is known and supported, allowing teachers to meet individual needs and encourage steady growth.
2ND GRADE
Our 2nd Grade program continues to build on the strong foundation developed in the early years, guiding students toward greater confidence, independence, and a deeper love for learning within a Christ-centered environment.
At this stage, students strengthen and refine their skills in reading, writing, and mathematics, while academic expectations gently increase to prepare them for the next level. We focus on developing strong, capable learners who can think critically, express their ideas clearly, and approach challenges with confidence.
Students also explore science, history, and the world around them through engaging, meaningful lessons that spark curiosity and wonder. Throughout all subjects, we intentionally integrate a Biblical worldview, helping students understand God’s truth and see His hand in creation and in their learning.
Character development remains at the heart of our program. Students are encouraged to grow in responsibility, kindness, and integrity, learning to apply biblical values in their daily actions and relationships.
In our small, supportive classroom, each child is truly known and guided with care. As part of our K–2 program, 2nd grade plays an important role in solidifying foundational skills while preparing students—academically and spiritually—for continued growth.
International Summer Program - June 2026
Bridgewater Christian Academy believes that learning extends beyond the classroom. Study tours play an important role in enriching students’ educational experiences by allowing them to apply what they learn in real-life settings. In addition to classroom instruction, students participate in carefully planned activities and educational field trips that encourage exploration, curiosity, and meaningful learning experiences.
Our engaging and activity-filled programs are designed to create memorable experiences that support both academic and personal growth. Each program can be customized based on the needs, group size, and age of the participants. We are excited to welcome students from around the world, ages 15–18, who want to improve their English in a safe, faith-centered environment while enjoying exciting activities throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
