Accreditation
Bridgewater Christian Academy is committed to providing high-quality Christ-centered education that meets recognized standards of academic excellence and spiritual formation. As part of this commitment, the school intends to pursue accreditation through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
ACSI accreditation is a respected process that evaluates a school’s academic program, spiritual development, governance, faculty qualifications, and operational practices. Through this process, the school will engage in ongoing self-evaluation and improvement to ensure that it faithfully fulfills its mission and provides students with a strong biblical worldview and a rigorous academic education.
During its early years of operation, Bridgewater Christian Academy will work toward meeting the requirements necessary to apply for and obtain ACSI accreditation. This process reflects the school’s dedication to excellence, accountability, and continuous growth as it serves students and families.
Statement of Faith
1. The Scriptures
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, fully trustworthy and the final authority in matters of faith and conduct.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.” — 2 Timothy 3:16
2. The Trinity
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” — Matthew 28:19
3. The Person and Work of Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death through His shed blood, bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” — John 3:16
4. Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of humanity.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” — Ephesians 2:8–9
5. The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who indwells believers and empowers them to live godly lives and grow in Christ-like character.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” — Galatians 5:22–23
6. Humanity and the Sanctity of Life
We believe that God created humanity in His image, male and female, and that human life is sacred from conception to natural death.
“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” — Genesis 1:27
7. Marriage and Family
We believe that marriage is ordained by God as a covenant relationship between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ’s relationship with His Church. We believe the family is foundational to society and that parents are entrusted by God with the primary responsibility for the spiritual and moral upbringing of their children.
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” — Genesis 2:24
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church.” — Ephesians 5:25
8. The Unity of Believers
We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and the call to live in love and truth.
“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism.” — Ephesians 4:4–5
